Man, 29, charged in human trafficking investigation in Burlington

Halton police have arrested and charged a 29-year-old man in connection with a human trafficking investigation.

Officers began the investigation in January after a suspect was identified at a hotel in Burlington.

Then on April 19, the Human Trafficking Unit arrested Tyrelle Campbell of Etobicoke. He faces 13 charges, including trafficking of a person under 18 and possession of child pornography.

Police said Campbell is known to go by the name “Skoobz.”

Campbell was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Investigators believe there may be more victims and are asking anyone with information to contact the Human Trafficking Unit at 905-825-4747 ext. 4674.
