Man, 26, charged in serious crash that sent 3 people to hospital

A 26-year-old Mississauga man has been charged following a serious crash that sent three people to hospital in Niagara Falls.

on Tuesday, Niagara police were called to a collision involving a white Land Rover and a silver Nissan Maxima at the intersection of Stanley Ave. and Murray St. around 12:30 p.m.

Investigators say damage to both vehicles was so extensive that two people inside the Maxima had to be extricated. Three people were taken to hospital including one passenger who was transported by Ornge Air Ambulance.

Muhammad Aulakh, 26, has been arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle cause bodily harm.

He has been released and is scheduled to appear in a St. Catharines court on July 19.

The NRPS is now appealing to any businesses in the area that may have video surveillance showing a white Land Rover travelling northbound on Stanley Ave. between Murray St. and McLeod Rd between 12 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.
