Man, 23, charged for ‘sexually propositioning’ girls near Aldershot High School

A 23-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly said sexually inappropriate comments to teenage girls near Aldershot High School on Tuesday.

Halton police say they received several calls regarding a man driving in a 2013 black, four-door Volkswagen Jetta while making the sexual statements.

Officers arrived at the high school just before 3:30 p.m. and found the man’s unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot.

The man returned to his car shortly after and was then arrested.

Sukiran Sirtharan of Burlington has been charged with two counts of invitation to sexual touching and two fail to comply with probation order.

Sirtharan was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Investigators believe there may be more victims and are asking anyone with information or who came into contact with Sirtharan to call the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 905 825 4777 ext. 8970.
