Male suspect identified in sexual assault at St. Catharines’ cemetery: police

Niagara police have identified a suspect in connection with a sexual assault in a cemetery this week.

A female ride-share driver was sexually assaulted between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Monday in a car at Victoria Lawn Cemetery in St. Catharines.

Officers said she has been treated in hospital.

While investigators have identified a man in the case, no arrests have been made and they have not released his name.

Police said there is no risk to public safety.
