One of the oldest tourist attractions in North America has launched its new season in Niagara Falls.

The ‘Maid of the Mist’ is now back on the lower Niagara River, completing it’s first tour Wednesday morning.

Tourists from all over the world have been taking the boat tour to the base of the falls for more than a century.

Four boats shuttle tourists to view the falls every day from both the Canadian and american sides of the border.

The initial launch of the season was about three and a half weeks later than usual, because there was a bit more ice on the water.
