Magna joins forces with LG for electric car parts

Two big specialty players are teaming up to build components for electric cars.  Ontario-based Magna International is joining LG Electronics to manufacture e-motors and other components of e-drive systems. More than a thousand jobs will be created in the U.S., South Korea and China. Pending LG shareholder approval, the agreement is expected to close in July.  No word yet if the new venture will lead to any new jobs in Canada.
