Mac football in Waterloo this weekend

Tomorrow in Waterloo, the nation’s 5th ranked university team, the McMaster Marauders will try to go 2-0 in the OUA season when they play the Warriors. The Marauders opened the season with a thrilling Labour Day win over the Guelph Gryphons. Quarterback Marshall Ferguson stepping up to lead his team to a come from behind overtime win.
Marauders Head Coach Stefan Ptaszek: “Marshall is a perfectionist and is really hard on himself. So a slow start in years past might have lingered and lasted longer. For him to pull out of a slow start — which frankly was execution out of his control — and play his best football down the stretch is him growing up and him being a 5th-year senior like he needs to be. And it’s only his second year as a starter and for him to be where he’s at is outstanding and bodes well for our season.”
