Friday marked the start of the year of the ram in the Asian lunar calendar and on Saturday the Chinese community gathered in Burlington to celebrate.

The entertainment included cultural dances and martial arts.

The event also featured bazaars and an assortment of games.

There was also an evening gala Saturday night to raise funds for the Canadian Institute for the Blind and for dog guides.
