Low supplies threaten residents in Gaza amid Hamas-Israel war

Residents in Gaza are on the cusp of losing electricity due to low fuel supplies on the fifth day of the Hamas-Israel war.
The war has killed at least 2,200 people on both sides so far following a surprise Hamas attack on a Southern Israeli music festival on Saturday, and the fighting continues to escalate.
Supplies are running out after Israel stopped entry of food, fuel and medicine into Gaza, and hospitals are struggling to treat the injured with medical supplies dwindling.

Gaza’s power authority says its sole plant will imminently run out of fuel, leaving the region with no electricity.
Israeli airstrikes have left entire Palestinian neighbourhoods demolished.
At least two Canadians have been confirmed dead by family members following the attack on Saturday.
Ben Mizrachi from Vancouver was attending a music festival when Hamas militants opened fire.
Alexandre Look, formerly from Montreal, was also killed during the raid at the Tribe of Nova music festival, which resulted in the death of at least 260 people.

Global Affairs Canada said one is presumed dead, and three other Canadians are still missing.
Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly said Canada is planning to use military aircraft to airlift Canadians out of Tel Aviv by the end of the week.
In a news conference on Wednesday morning, Joly said there were 4,249 Canadians registered in Israel and another 476 in the West Bank and Gaza.
