Long weekend for many

As we head into the Family Day weekend, here’s a reminder that it’s one of those holidays where not everything is closed.

Most tourist attractions and museums are open, along with some arenas and grocery stores. Transit services are on holiday schedules, and off-peak rates are in effect all day for hydro.

Provincial and municipal government offices, libraries, banks, the LCBO, beer stores, schools, and many child care centres will be closed Monday.

In most areas, garbage and recycling collection will be delayed a day all week.

However federal government offices will be open, so mail will be delivered.
