Long locks for wigs

A grade 11 student at Niagara’s Stamford Collegiate had her very first haircut Thursday, and she did it for a great cause.
Thursday morning, Masa Song chopped off over four feet of hair to support cancer research: “If I keep it, I do nothing with it, but if I could cut it and donate it for people who need it like the kids suffering from cancer, I would like to do that and I am very happy.”
Money raised from the public haircut will go to the Terry Fox Foundation. Her hair will be donated to “Wigs for Kids.”
The 16-year old said she made the decision to cut her long locks to honour her mother, who died from lung cancer when Masa was just 12.
