Local entrepreneur converts 150-year-old church into apartments

Oakville businessman Tal Dehtiar has converted a downtown Hamilton church into apartments for rent.
Dehtiar also dabbles in real estate as he rents out a couple of homes in the area. While on the hunt for his next property he stumbled upon a bit of a fixer-upper. A 150-year-old church on West Ave just south of Main Street.
Dehtiar has converted the church into 19 apartment units in about one year. The units feature a subtle blend of modern updates with flashes from the past. The most striking callbacks are the stained glass windows that are in almost every room.
The units range from studio apartments to three-bedroom lofts. The units range from $1,600 to $2,700 a month.
