Five people from Hamilton and Burlington are facing a slew of charges following a major drug trafficking investigation. Halton police seized 2 riffles, 2 hand guns, $125 000, 2 kilos of cocaine, one pound of meth and one pound of fentanyl.

“Drugs like fentanyl, which was unheard of just a few short years ago, but is fast becoming a houehold name, has joined cocaine and meth in making its way across Canada and into our community.” Chief Stephen Tanner, Halton police.

Halton police executed six search warrants last Wednesday across Burlington and Hamilton. Halton police say the investigation is on-going and that more arrests are expected in the coming weeks.
