Thousands of people were downtown Burlington this weekend to enjoy the Food Truck Festival at Spencer Smith Park. The annual Food Truck Festival takes place over three days and brings in thousands of people.

While the festival is a tourism boost for downtown Burlington, some businesses are opposed to it saying it takes potential customers away. Alia’s Gelato & Café say they have noticed a 50 per cent decline during the festival.

Patios right along Lake Shore were busy and the festival organizer says the festival will help drive people to come back to Burlington in the future.
