Local businesses try to bounce back after COVID-19 setbacks

The most recent numbers from Statistics Canada have shown that retail sales are up from pre-pandemic levels. Up from February before the pandemic forced closures.

Sales for June were 1.3 percent higher. The growth was primarily from the auto and clothing industries.

As Manesa Dhanabalan explains, only some local businesses are having an increase in sales.
