Local 1005 rift over bargaining tactics

There’s a labour fight happening in Hamilton right now that echoes others across the country.

Steelworkers are trying to save their pension plan for retirees and current workers, but they’ve been out of work during the fight – locked out for more than nine months.
Now there’s evidence of a growing rift among union members.
Members of Local 1005 vote Wednesday night on whether or not they have confidence in the strategy being taken by their negotiating committee.
