Liberals confident, Tories not, NDP waiting to see
Updated The Ontario Liberals will table the budget in ten days’ time.
Thursday May 2nd is the day the Kathleen Wynne-led Liberals will announce what they plan to do with your money. But before that happens the Progressive Conservatives say they won’t accept anything the Liberals say because they simply do not trust them. PC finance critic Peter Shurman says it’s ridiculous it’s taken this long to announce a budget which is usually tabled in March.
Finance Minister Charles Sousa said the budget will include eliminating a $9.8 billion dollar by 2017-2018. Sousa says taxes won’t be hiked and although gridlock definitely needs to be addressed in the GTHA the Liberals will not make people living outside the area pay for public transit improvements.
