Liberal strategist speaks on Carney skipping TVA-French debate, next moves

CHCH News anchor Matt Ingram speaks with Shanice Scott, a Liberal strategist from Hill & Knowlton as election campaigns begin.

Scott speaks about Liberal leader Mark Carney’s decision to skip the TVA French language debate Monday, and if it was wrong of him to turn it down.

Ingram then asks about promises that Carney’s made at the start of his election campaign, and comparisons to Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s own promise to cut taxes.

The two also talk about the safeguarding of the election process and if Canadians should be concerned about the election being swayed in some way from foreign interference.
