Leonard Nimoy dies at age 83

Leonard Nimoy died this morning of end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or c-o-p-d at his Los Angeles home, with family at his side. He was 83. He was born in Boston in 1931 and began acting almost right away. Leonard Nimoy once said that he believed that he would play a variety of characters, instead he got perhaps the single most recognizable character in pop culture.
