We have more now of the Malaysia Airlines flight that crashed today in Ukraine.

The United Nations Security Council has set an emergency meeting for tomorrow following the crash.

U.S. intelligence officials say they believe the flight was shot down by a surface to air missile. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, says they’re still working to determine whether it came from the Russian or Ukraine side of the border. But that it appears unlikely the Ukrainian government shot down the plane because they don’t have those capabilities.

Each side of the conflict in Ukraine is blaming the other for the downing. 295 people were aboard the passenger plane when it crashed in a village currently under the control of armed pro-Russian separatists. Ukraine’s U.N. ambassador tweeted that the country will present evidence of Russian military involvement into the Boeing 777 crash, while Russian President Vladimir Putin says Ukraine bears responsibility for the crash. There was at least one Canadian on board. The majority of the people on the flight were Dutch, at least 154. The Dutch Prime Minister called the crash possibly the worst air accident in that country’s history.
