Leafs game 3

The Toronto Maple Leafs are probably pretty relieved to be out of Boston.

After getting outscored 12-4 in the first 2 games of the playoffs, the Leafs players and fans are hoping some home cooking is enough to get them back in the series.

Bruins forward, David Pastrnak scored 6 points in game 2, breaking Wayne Gretzky’s record for youngest player to ever do that in a playoff game.

In total, Pastrnak and his line mates have wracked up 20 points, the Leafs top line only has 2 points.

“We weren’t good enough in their building, in front of our net. The game was closer in the first but we played better in the second one so we need to be way better here.” says Head Coach of the Leafs, Mike Babcock

Leafs forward, Zach Hyman says, “No one is happy how we played our first two games, there were stretches where we played well and now we have to build off of it.”

The Maple Leafs may be down but they don’t feel as if they’re out of it just yet and they are confident that they’ll get back in the series in front of the home crowd.

James Van Riemsdyk, Leafs Forward says, “We’re upbeat. They’re supposed to win their two home games and now we come back here and obviously win this one tonight, strong effort tonight and be ready to go.”

“We’re going to need our fans big tonight, come out and show support.” says Mitch Marner.

Lifelong Leafs fans admit the first 2 games were crushing but they’re not jumping off the bandwagon just yet.

Maple Leafs Square next to the ACC is closed because of the weather. This a must win game. The Leafs do not want to go down 3-0 to the Bruins, that would be very hard to come back from.
