Leaders warned not to make big promises

Ontario’s election campaign will officially get underway Wednesday, and a new poll shows the majority of people would prefer to keep Dalton McGuinty in power.

The Nanos poll conducted for The Globe and Mail finds 29% of respondents think McGuinty is the best choice for Premier, while 25% say PC leader Tim Hudak is the right person, and 15% are behind NDP leader Andrea Horwath.
We’ll know who the winner is on Thursday October sixth. And while the date has been set for years, the campaign officially starts tomorrow when the election writ is dropped. But as Al Sweeney explains, there’s a warning for the leaders:
