A class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of passengers on board a Fly Jamaica flight that crash landed in Guyana earlier this month.

The Toronto-bound flight had a hydraulic failure shortly after takeoff and was forced to return to Guyana’s airport on Nov. 9.

The plane overshot the runway and crash landed causing several tires to blow out and the engine to dislodge.

There were 120 passengers on board, including 82 Canadians.

One of the Canadians died just over a week after the crash.

According to the lawsuit, passengers suffered a variety of injuries and lost many of their belongings.
