Laurier students unearth history

Archaeology students from Wilfrid Laurier University are doing some digging in Fort Erie.

They’re at the site of the Douglas Battle during the war of 1812. The Americans had taken over Fort Erie in 1814. They were attacked by the British in a bloody battle in August of that year. These students are collecting artifacts at the front lines of that battle.
