Last day to see the elephants

Monday was the last day to see elephants at the Toronto Zoo.
They’re leaving Canada later this week, for an an animal sanctuary in California. The decision to move the elephants more than 35 years after they arrived was made by city council earlier this year, largely because upgrading their zoo habitat would have cost more than $16-million. The trio will travel in climate controlled trucks for the 50 hour-long journey. Retired game-show host and animal welfare advocate Bob Barker is paying for the $800-thousand move.
