Lane reduction on Mud Street to begin today

Lane reductions are coming to a busy street on Stoney Creek mountain.

Mud Street West will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between Isaac Brock Drive and Upper Centennial Parkway.

Work starts this morning and will take around five weeks.

The lane reductions are necessary to do road resurfacing on the south side of Mud Street. Once that is done, crews will shift to work on the North side.

The project includes removing existing asphalt, repaving the road, repairing catch basins, making irrigation system upgrades and line painting.

As a result of the construction, HSR route 43 Stonechurch will remain on its regular route, but passengers can expect delays.
