Lancaster Bomber takes to the skies on Remembrance Day in Hamilton

The Second World War Lancaster Bomber was flown overhead on Monday, a tradition that honours veterans across the Golden Horseshoe with a moment of silence on Remembrance Day.
CHCH News’ Emily Tayler was up in the skies alongside the historic plane, sitting jump-seat in another bomber from the war.
THe Lancaster at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton is one of the last of its kind still flying.
Following close behind it on its flight today was the B-25 Mitchell Bomber, which Tayler was riding in.
The pair flew over Cenotaphs across Burlington, Brantford, Hamilton and the Niagara region.
“When we do the fly pass over the memorials, when you look down and you see the blue blazer and the grey pants, and the grey haired people all looking up, that gives you a lump in your throat, at leas mine,” Lancaster pilot Leon Evans said.
“There’s a lot of angels on our wings,” Lancaster flight engineer Craig Brookhouse told Tayler.
