Kitchener woman dead in 401 crash in Milton

A Kitchener woman is dead after a car crash on the 401 in Milton.

OPP Sergeant Kerry Schmidt says the call came in after 12:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

The female driver who was alone, is believed to have lost control of her SUV and veered into a ditch before hitting a tree and then crashing into another.

She has been identified as 39 year-old Krista Todorowski.

The right lane of the 401 westbound east of Guelph was closed for several hours while police investigated but has since re-opened.

OPP are asking any witnesses to give them a call.
