Kings of Leon to resume touring in Canada

The Kings of Leon will resume performing in Canada after cancelling the rest of the U.S. leg of their tour.


This, after cancelling two shows in Texas over the weekend because lead singer Caleb Followill walked off stage. He was reportedly suffering from vocal problems, dehydration and exhaustion.

The band had promised to replay the Texas shows in September but now say the missed U.S. dates will not be made up.

Band member Jared Followill has said the Kings of Leon have ‘internal sickness and problems’ that go beyond dehydration. Drummer Nathan Followill has tweeted the band just needs some rest and are not breaking up.

Kings of Leon are now scheduled to pick up their tour in Vancouver on September 28th. They have dates in Toronto & London for Thanksiving weekend.

Saskatoon-based group, The Sheepdogs, who just won a contest to be on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, will be accompanying the Kings of Leon on the tour. They’re also performing at Hamilton’s Festival of Friends on Friday.
