Kaitlin Coglhin is a 17 year old disabled Brantford girl who was upset about not graduating with other kids her age, so her mother started a “Kindness for Kaitlin” Facebook page and posted a video asking people to send cards for Kaitlin’s birthday. The video took off on social media and Kaitlin has already received dozens of cards even one signed by the Prime Minister.

“Now Kaitlin is on the news, her story shared on Facebook a thousand times…getting hundreds of messages a day from people who want to be her friend and mail her birthday cards.” Nicole Callander, Kaitlin’s mother.

Kaitlin has William Syndrome and is developmentally delayed but she gets excited to check the mail everyday now. She has already received more than 60 cards from around the world and some of the messages she is getting are from parents with kids in similar situations.

When Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was in Hamilton last week he also signed a card for Kaitlin.
