Teaching young kids the rules of the road

A dozen kids got behind the wheel of a vehicle at the Flamborough race track to learn how to handle a car.

Kids learned the finer points of driving before they’ll actually be allowed to get behind the wheel of a car and who better to teach them than former race car driver Russ Bond who started by go-karting.

“I started out in go karts and went to Atlantic cars, now i’m doing vintage racing, this is the love of my life I would say”.

Kartstart is geared towards kids 10 and up and gives them an introduction into the driving world and some of the do’s and don’ts from behind the wheel.

For the young drivers learning is easier to do when you’re having fun.

The Kartstart team will be stopping in 10 cities across the country, and expect to teach nearly 1,300 kids the basics of driving this summer.
