Kachkar remanded

The man accused of running down a Toronto police officer with a stolen snowplow truck has been remanded in custody until April 27th.

44-year old Richard Kachkar of St. Catharines made a brief video appearance in court Thursday morning.

He was shot and arrested January 12th, the same day Sgt. Ryan Russell was struck and killed.

Kachkar is charged with first degree murder and two counts of attempted murder related to another officer and a taxi driver.
