Jury begins deliberations

The judge at the Shafia family murder trial in Kingston sent the jury to deliberate over the fate of the Mohammad Shafia, his other wife and adult son.

He instructed the jury that they can find the accused guilty of first-degree murder, second-degree murder or not guilty.

He also said the jury does not have to render the same verdict for all three accused.

The jury has suspended deliberations for the evening and will resume deliberations Saturday at 10am.
