Josipovic brothers testify in their own defense

Both brothers accused of the first degree murder of former Hells Angels gang member Lou Malone have now testified in their own defense.

Earlier this week John Josipovic testified that he was solely responsible for killing Malone in November, 2013, not his brother, because Malone was extorting him. John’s wife and daughter testified today that he was over protective the week before the murder. Then Mike Josipovic took the stand. He described being beaten up by Malone, stuffed in his own truck and almost kidnapped before he escaped. He called his brother as he ran away and found safety at a 7-11 before John came to pick him up. After, the brothers drove around looking for Mike’s truck and encountered Lou Malone. Mike Josipovic said John got out and confronted Malone, and he took over the wheel. His brother tried to get him to run over Malone but he slammed on the brakes. Mike said he couldn’t stop his brother from chasing Malone, and he sobbed as he described watching John Josipovic shoot Malone in the head.

The crown has claimed that John Josipovic was driving the truck and Mike Josipovic was the shooter. The trial continues in the Friday morning..
