Joe Brant wants proposals

Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington has requested proposals from the three teams short-listed to head their redevelopment plans.

The hospital says whichever team lands the deal must have the development, design, construction, and financial capacity to handle such a big and complex project. Plans for the $300 million expansion include a new seven-storey tower with a new emergency department and an ICU with 28 beds.

Construction is expected to start early next year.
