Jodorowsky’s Dune

Jodorowsky’s Dune is a documentary film by director Frank Pavich. The documentary tells the story of Chilean-French director Alejandro Jodorowsky’s attempt to make a big screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel Dune. His vision of the film was extraordinary – with many of the attached artists going on to have illustrious careers in the industry – but Jodorowsky couldn’t find a studio to finance his film.
Jodorowsky had high hopes for the film and did his best to acquire a talented cast and crew. He had asked big names like Peter Gabriel and Pink Floyd to provide the soundtrack, and wanted his cast to include Salvador Dalí, Orson Welles, Gloria Swanson, and David Carradine. Many present-day film makers call Jodorowsky’s Dune the greatest movie never made.
Jodorowsky’s Dune is rated PG.
