Two Fort Erie residents have been sentenced to prison terms in connection with the largest methamphetamine bust in Australia’s history.
28-year old James Kelsey was sentenced to 8 years and his 31-year old cousin, Catherine McNaughton was given 4 years and 9 months.
The pair was convicted of attempting to traffic 650 kilos of ephedrine, hidden in vanilla powder jars.
Ephedrine is used to manufacture meth. Both will be deported back to Canada after serving their sentences.
