Is it time to retire certain planes?

Millions of Canadians book with airlines in the U.S. each year — and after several emergency landings over the weekend — there’s more for travellers to worry about.

The problems include everything from cabin pressure to a more serious issue: an actual “hole” ripped in a plane, that has led to dozens of cancellations.
But amazingly it’s not the first time something like this has happened. One expert says the hole incident is similar to another that took place more than 22 years ago.
Cindy Csordas spoke with a former crash investigator, who says these planes could simply be too old to fly.
