Is Halton heading back to a modified Stage 2?

Premier Doug Ford is concerned about Halton region’s rising case numbers and says a decision will be made by Monday whether or not to send the region back to modified Stage 2.
Halton region is approaching 2,000 total COVID-19 cases; half of which have been recorded in the last two months.
“We’re going to have to discuss that over the weekend and we’ll have that answer on Monday. But folks in Halton, I know they’re doing a great job. It’s concerning right now. I’ve seen the numbers go up.” said Premier Doug Ford.
“The premier has been terrific to work with throughout this. We recorded 16 new cases today. That’s like 1 in 35,000 people here. I think curves on small numbers are very unreliable ways to judge the future.” said Oakville Mayor Rob Burton.
Oakville has already restricted indoor group fitness classes and team sports.
The modified Stage 2 would prohibit indoor dining, and close gyms, fitness centres, cinemas and performance venues.
