The IBL comes to Welland

Welland’s new Intercounty Baseball League team will be called the Welland Jackfish.

A jackfish is a nickname for the northern pike – a fish that inhabits the Welland river.

While revealing their name, the team also unveiled their jersey designs and logo. Their colours will be navy blue, green, and white.

The team relocated from Burlington where they went by the Burlington Herd.

The Intercounty Baseball League begins in May.
