Integrity commissioner complaint filed over Hamilton mayor’s dog

A city of Hamilton employee who filed a human rights complaint to try to stop the mayor from bringing his dog to work has filed another complaint regarding the animal.
Susan Creer has accused Mayor Fred Eisenberger of making Hamilton City Hall inaccessible to her by bringing his dog, Dash, to work. She says she has allergies, asthma and is afraid of dogs.
Creer filed a human rights complaint last month and on Tuesday, she filed an integrity commissioner complaint. She says she has read the city’s human rights code and it looks like there’s “a number of violations.”
Susan says she believes pets have value but she thinks they should be enjoyed at home. She also says she hopes the issue gets resolved quickly so that everyone can access all city buildings without worrying about personal pets being there.
