Inside the “Knot A Breast” dragon boat team

Qualifying for the Knot A Breast dragon boat team is far from pleasant.

You need a heart stopping diagnosis of breast cancer, and a desire to live beyond the disease. Since it’s inception 15 years ago, the team has seen no shortage of numbers. Unfortunately, the newcomers are getting younger, but they gain support and inspiration from the veterans who thrive in a dragon boat.

Maria Hayes met with the team this week, and put in a little paddling time.
