Ignatieff dismisses Harper’s comment on Japan & the election

Despite the call to get Canadians out of Japan, our prime minister barely mentioned the disaster Thursday.


Earlier in the week he suggested this wouldn’t be a good time to have an election in Canada, because the earthquake and tsunami are a reminder that the global economic recovery remains fragile.
However, Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff says democracy should continue in Canada — regardless of what’s happening in Japan.
