Hundreds of COVID-19 vaccination appointments available at Wellington clinic today

Workers and volunteers at the Well-Health Centre COVID-19 vaccination clinic are looking for eligible residents to register for appointments today.
President of the Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine, and McMaster professor Dr. Jenn Brasch says there are 100’s of appointments available.

Yesterday, CHCH News spoke to Dr. Sherine Caron who has been administering vaccines at the clinic. She said appointments were only booked to fifty per cent. As of last night, Caron says there were only 127 appointments booked for today.
Caron says there are 10,000 vaccines stored in the freezer and that they have the capacity of administering up to 1000 per day.
The Wellington street vaccine clinic administers the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine. As per provincial guidelines, only those who are 70+ can register for these vaccines at this time.
