Humane society rescues lobster

The Lincoln County Humane Society took in a lobster this morning after it was found in a business parking lot in St Catharines.

The crustacean was found inside a box. The humane society says its origin is a mystery.

Executive director Kevin Strooband says he suspects the lobster may have been part of an April Fool’s Day prank, but he says it’s inappropriate to abandon any animal.

The humane society has found a salt water aquarium for the lobster while it decides on the next steps.
