HSR to provide credit to monthly pass holders for 8 strike days

Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) will be providing a credit to monthly pass holders who were affected by the 8-day strike that ended last Thursday.
In a post shared to social media Wednesday, HSR says that all pass holders have received a credit to their PRESTO cards for the days that transit service was not made available.
Anyone who has yet to receive the credit is asked to contact HSR customer service at hsrserve@hamilton.ca.

Over 800 transit workers hit the picket line nearly two weeks ago after failing to reach an agreement over the core issue of wage increases.
This was the first time in 25 years that Hamilton’s transit workers walked off the job as the union sought wage increases that keep up with the pace of inflation and the rising cost of living.
The tentative deal struck on Thursday saw buses resume service the following morning as the city welcomed hundreds for Grey Cup festivities planned throughout the weekend.
