HSR is asking customers to wear face masks as of Monday.

The transit service says riders are required to wear a non-medical mask while riding the bus, taking DARTS and using TRANSCAB.

As per provincial recommendations, exceptions will be made for children under two, people who have difficulty breathing and anyone who isn’t able to take off a mask without help.

But HSR says it won’t deny a ride to anyone not wearing a mask.

The service will also increase bus capacity to two-thirds full.

Driver compartment shields are being installed as an added safety measure.

Front-door loading for all customers and fare collection will resume July 1.
