How the Domotor ring worked

The Domotor family ran a complex operation which saw recruiters scout men from Hungary, then bring them to Canada and force them to work as slaves.

The victims were threatened with violence if they left. But when one victim told welfare officials about the scheme in 2009, RCMP investigators were able to begin the process of cracking the clan – a large crime family that worked together to traffic its victims.
