House sales set another record

For the third month in a row, housing sales in the Greater Hamilton and Burlington area have set a new record.

Almost 2000 property sales were processed through the Realtors Association of Hamilton-Burlington in June, breaking May’s record of 1810.

June sales were more than 31 percent higher than a year ago, and 43 percent above the historical average for the month of June.

The average price of freehold properties in Hamilton and Burlington was up nearly 10.5 percent, while the average sale price of condos increased a little more than 8 per cent.
