As urban centres sprawl across North America and new condo developments are being approved on a consistent basis, the long-time merchants deep in Vancouver’s Chinatown are hard at work with their produce stands and vendor carts in hopes that everything will be alright. Everything Will Be follows the perspectives of local residents, merchants, and entrepreneurs and their views on the dynamic changes around them as they reflect upon the past and present.

The Watchlist’s Evan Arppe caught up with the Sundance award-winning director of Everything Will Be, Julia Kwan, to discuss the film.
